I was wondering if anyone out there has had to order a XD 9 tactical in black with standard sights recently, I have been waiting for the better part of 3 mo on a back order and would like my new gun. My dealer is telling me that their distributer is waiting on Springfield to send them more and it has been this way for too long in my opinion, especially since i put down a non refundable deposit. Guess i should have shopped around to see if anyone had one in stock.

I got the 45 tactical and with some custom shop stuff and it was one week shy of 5 months. Just got it last week.

I ordered a "Production Ready" from Canyon Creek a couple of weeks ago and got it in about 10 days.

I will tell you in a little more than a week. I have ordered this same gun and have been told it will ship on March 14

My dealer has four XD 9 Tacticals in stock and doesn't seem to have a problem getting them. Hope you're not being fed a line of garbage.

I called around town to a couple of places when I was ready to order mine. One place, a Springfield distributor, told me it'd be months. Price--$459 + tax. I called a closer shop who is not a distributor and they guy said he could get one right away. Price--$509 + tax. I went by and ordered and paid for it the afternoon of Thursday, 2/21. He called me and told me it was in the next Tuesday. I sent it to Scott Springer yesterday for a trigger job and new sights.

I think you should try and get your deposit back and call around a little.

I waited 2 months for a new one then manned up and bought a used one for $400 shipped from the trading post here. I couldnt stand the wait. Of course I could have went down the road and paid the $600 for a new one in stock, but who would pay that much for an xd.

I think Scott and Rich either one will sell you a 9mm Tactical w/whatever mod you may want as well.

If you don't want to go that route I'd hit up gunbroker.com

I ordered a Springfield 1911 mil-spec last week. My local dealer said the wait is 8-12 weeks. I'm ok with that though. Gives me time to stock up on ammo.

You might be "set" on what you're buying but remember, that deposit can be used for any other gun.
