Possible Ejector Problems With XD .40 Service???

I own an XD .40 Service Model. I only have a couple hundred rounds through it. I've noticed that the top part of the ejector is silver (all the black has rubbed off). And, it appears to be lightly scratching/rubbing the inside top of the slide. Does anyone else have this problem? This doesn't happen on my XD. .45 Tactical. Could the ejector be too long? Perhaps this is normal, shouldn't be... Thanks guys!

mine is rubbed too (40tac). About 2000-2500 rounds through it with no problems. A friend of mine has the 9 service, same way. I am about 99.9% sure this is normal! Just one of those things that happen from shooting it.

Any wear that happens will not result in failure (based on how I see the parts interacting), and eventually it will quit. I would not worry about it if it was on my pistols. Shoot it and have fun.
