Free trigger mod, -2lbs!
Edit: As a special someone pointed out, that I forgot to include where my measurement was taken from. And to keep things in order I used the same intersect of the red line and trigger as pictured bellow that I used in my other post. As a couple tests from the bottom of the trigger the results were one pound less, resulting in 3 to 3.2lbs
![]() Notes: Digital scale. 10 tests total; 5 before, 5 after. Follow "PHOTO" link in sig for current modifications. Mod: Polish everything that moved including pins to a shine (320, 400, 600, 1200, 1500 sandpaper). Used a torch and heated up the stock trigger spring, also using a digital scale i was able to weaken the spring by 25-30%. To do this you must let the spring cool at a very slow rate. I did this twice and tried not to go overboard. Data: Before: 6.3 6.5 6.4 6.2 6.6 6.2 6.366667 = AVG After: 4.3 4.2 4.0 4.1 4.3 4.3 4.2 = AVG Difference: -2.16667 Also as you can see and i felt the trigger pull to be more consistant. Sorry no pics, camera is at my moms house. Also see for more trigger info: Data: My PRP Trigger And a funny "note to self" when you see the gauge going up to 12lbs and no trigger action remember to push the rear safety lever in. I left the sear spring alone for now, until next time thanks for looking.

Nice don't forget to keep an eye out for corrosion on those polished parts. All the sanding and polishing could have removed enough metal to take the metal treatment off.

Yup! That is the plan. I was going to drop them off tomorrow to have them treated. But I am going to the range after work. So i might as well see how they old up!

I would NOT mess with the temper on the sear spring. If it gets too light, it will not let the disconect reset correctly. I had one that shot fine with WWB but as soon as you shoved a +P in there, the slide speed was too fast for the sear spring and the trigger did not reset realiably. There is a very fine line with the sear spring weight.
PM me for another meathod thats free on reducing the sear spring weight.
