Coating internals

I want to coat my XD internals with a PTFE type coating. Does anyone know of a place that has quick turn around times (1-2weeks), I sure do not want to wait 8 weeks.

Have you checked out the Tripp Research site they used to have a "Cobra Coat" that might be what you're looking for. I can't remember if it was Moly or Teflon.

Guess I could have looked it up.

PTFE = Polytetrafluoroethylene

So you mean NP3 or is it just a Teflon coat?

That's the hard chrome finish but it doesn't have teflon as far as I know.

coating with Aluminum Titanium Carbon Nitride would be better for lubricity than a PTFE coating.. AFAIK..

i'm looking into getting my XD 45 multi-coated..

and NP3 does have teflon in it.. it's a nickel-teflon coating..
