I think I got a deal
I own a XD .45c and love ever minute of it. My best friend loved it also, so he decided that he wants one. We go to the Sportsmans warehouse in chattannoga TN. We get there and no .45's. He spies the .40 sub compact and falls in love, it has factory installed trijicon sights and all the usual goodies that comes with the XD. he paid 613.00 out the door with TN background check (10.00) Well all is good we are talking about when we are going shooting and such. He calls me the next day and is in a panic. His wife of 8 yrs just decided she is anti gun with there son in the house (7yrs old) she is threatning devorce unless he takes it back and gets his money back. Well in TN there is no refunds on firearms, so he called me and said " do you want to buy a gun for 300.00" I said there is no way I could do that to him, I was there when he bought it. He said if I did not want it someone at work would buy it for 300.00. So I now own my second XD.

Look at it this way you saved his marriage. Or $310 is a lot less that the divorce would cost him.

I would have either lied, and said i got rid of it, or kicked her out. Luckily my gf isnt anti-gun, she was raised with them, and her dad has been a state champion shooter some 16 times or something crazy, he has well over 100 firearms

If it makes you feel better, you can tell him he has right of refusal if you ever decide to sell it, or if his siuation changes. besides, when you go shooting, you can loan him a really nice gun that he likes!

He is in for a long marriage. I guess there is no such thing as compromise there.
But at least you were able to reap the benefits of his problem.

I really feel bad for him, its one of those deals where she has formed this oppinon as of all the bad news on school shooting, and etc. here lately. I did tell him if I ever got ready to sell he would be the first offer. Yeah right like thats ever gonna happen!!!!!!
