about time

After having to wait 3 weeks i got to shot one of my two today. Wife was sick so, me and buddy took mine for a spin for 300 rounds with not 1 malfunction. Being my first time shooting it, it took both of us a while to get tight groups at 7 yards. Then we finally figured out,(after 75 rounds) the take up was throwing us both off. After that pulling the take up in, then letting it break put us both on the money after that. the 40 sc is pretty accurate once i got the feel of it. 21 feet may be close for some but i feel this distance or less is goin to serve my purpose. I will back up slowly next time and try keep groups tight. I'm glad i chose the xd.

sorry about the novel, it was a good day.

Congrats on the new XD. I usually shoot 21' or less as well. Though, it is fun to try out to 45' every once in a while. What two models did you buy?

Congrats on the new addition(s) and welcome to the XD family.

I usually shoot at 15 yards or less. Occassionally I'll go out farther just for the fun of it. But considering the overwhelming shooting situations occure with the 3 FEET to 11 FEET range, 15 yards is a good max range.
