XD "groundhog gun"
was out watching over a bean field yesterday when I caught a movment out of the corner of my eye to my left [I'm left handed]about 20' away was a groundhog trying to figure out what I was, no way I could get the rifle around so when he went behind a clump of grass I was able to get my XD out of the holster and get it pointed in the general direction when he came out from behind the grass i let him have it 165 gr. h.p. win. supreme did a number on him . that is one bean eating machine that the farmer won't have to worry about!

I'm looking foward to giving my XD-40 a try on the ground sow whistle pigs later this summer. Unfortunately my uncle's farm has been planted in corn, I was hoping for oats or even soy been. Oh well.
So give us some more details. I take it the bullet passed clean thru? Did you do any type of autopsy? Was there any chance you recovered the bullet? What rifle was your XD-40 backing up? Good shootin' mcb |
