Does this barrel position look normal?

Well I have been having some issues w/ my XD9sc shooting low and am trying to rule out the gun. I have a feeling the problem lies in my technique and experience, but I noticed this tonight while cleaning my gun and figured I would bring it up. It appears that the barrel is offset and points down just a bit. Is this normal? BTW, I just finished cleaning and putting it back together, so I was 100% sure there was nothing in the chamber and of course no magazine was in.

Mine is exactly the same. Almost no reason to post a picture unless you want to see it...

What grain bullet are you shooting? If your shooting 115 gr try 147 and see if that raises POI.

I could be wrong, but My bet is on recoil anticipation. try having a friend load up a mag and put a snap cap in there but not let you know where. If your gun moves when you drop the hammer on the snap cap, you can bet its that. Really only one thing can correct that, and that is shooting a lot and getting de sensitized to the recoil and noise. Just my .02

I have an XD.45C and I had the same problem and was reluctant to believe it was my doing and was gonna buy adjustable sites. Well after my second time to the range with it, I found myself to be the cause after i hadn't noticed the slide locked back and just like that, I squeezed the tigger and realized that I was in fact anticipating the recoil. Funny thing is,my grouping was consistant tho lol.

Since then and 950 rds to date, I have improved my POI. I still get some low shots after I tire but otherwise all is golden now.
