New XD-9 Service Owner
I bought this gun a week ago, and tested it yesterday morning. I shot 150 rounds in the range. Everything was good but the rear sight. Does anyone know why does manufacture put 2 white dots there? I'm thinking to use sharpie to cover those 2 white dots.

you probably will shoot the guys feet if even if you aim at his head, or vice versa if you sharpie the rear sights

dont black them out, you will just end up putting white-out back on them later. after you fire more, you will see why they are there. but congrats on your purchase, XD-9 is next on my list... maybe with the economic stimuli package check

My USP Custom Combat came with Novak sights, fibre optic front, square notch rear no dots on the rear sight at all. Next time you all go to the range put some black tape over the sights and take some shots, I think you'll be surprised at how little you really need them to get COM hits.
