Frame Discoloration anyone?
Has anyone else had their frame become discolored due to heat just under the guide rod at the tip of the accessory rail? Mine has become an ashen gray color and I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this. Hey, at least you know I am shooting, right! I will post a pic to further explain the location. *Note* Do not look for discoloration in this picture as it is a stock photo purely for location reference.

The discoloration is powder residue. If you use a good cleaner and some elbow grease it should come right off.

I've tried wiping it off gently but I guess a little more aggression is needed. This elbow grease you speak of....can I get that at PistolGear or do I need to order that elsewhere?

I had discoloration on mine and as rgeliske stated, I used a oiled rag and elbow grease and it came off and looks as good as new.
