XD-Tactical Ported.. would it be a hit?

Just wanted to see if you think that a ported Tactical would be or not be a hit And if you would get one if they become available. Or even why you would not get one. All feed backs are welcome. Thanks.

Man , that would be cool to have an XD tact ported. I bet the recoil would be nice. I would surely buy one!

Why have a tactical weapon with a huge signature? Sort of an oxymoron. Besides, if you get a ported gun Springfield gently suggests that you should avoid any +P ammo to avoid a painfull failure. I like my tactical the way it is, lean, black and mean with no swiss cheese holes near the muzzle.

would be great in my opinion. Something to compete more in the unlimited class IDPA pistol shooting? Imagine a tactical, ported, trigger job, red dot, milled slide... mmmmmmmm

Sorry, there is no such thing as unlimited class IDPA pistol shooting, nor are ported/compensated pistols allowed at all in IDPA. No optical sights/red dots either. Perhaps you are thinking of USPSA/IPSC?

Since the tactical is 5" and has the added weight in the slide there is no real advantage to be ported.

But,
Maybe a threaded barrel and a 4 port comp

Though I feel porting is not ultimately advantagous to a 'tactical' weapon, I also feel that we will see more 5 inch "tactical" model XDs at competitions than in the hands of armed professionals. Thus, I would feel that a 5" ported would actually make more sense than a 4" ported. Just my $.02 worth.
