TRUGLO TRITIUM / FIBER OPTIC (TFO) FOR XD?

I'm considering purchasing a set of these sights for my XD, I would like to know if anyone has these sights on there XD and what they think. How are they during daylight range shooting?

They are bright during the day, and bright in low-light.

Would you recommend these sights for a carry gun that is used for indoor and outdoor competitions as well. I would like to go with one sight set for all occasions. What do you think? Or would you go with like Trijicons or something else?

I would say they are perfect for what you noted. If you are indoors where the light is weak or low, the tritium will add some brightness.

I have TFO's on 3 of my guns ....

Glock 26, 23 and 31. I love them. I will be putting it on my XD9 SC in a few weeks, but have other mods to do on it first.

I am in and out of buildings with different light ... I am in the sun and shade ... I carry open for my job. These sights work the best for me in all light conditions. I would put them on my Wilson CQB if they make them, but they don't.

I tryed HiViz on my glock fronts for awhile but the tubes kept breaking. These TruGlo's don't break ... or at least have not broken. Good luck and good shooting!

I've got them on my XD40 and so far love them. They are superior in daylight compared to factory sights. Any fiber optic sight is a huge improvement. In dim light they are amazing. Again, the fiber gathers up lots of light and make them super easy to see. At night they are better than the Trijicons on my Sig by a noticable amount. Partly it is the size of the fiber compared to the small dot on the Trijicons, but partly it's because they are brighter than the Trijicons.

About the only complaint I have is that the front and rear sights are the same color. If they were to offer contrasting colors they would be the ultimate sight.

The construction seems durable. The fiber is covered by a clear plastic shell for protection, so I think the fiber is pretty likely to survive just fine. I use my XD for IDPA as well as general range shooting and some hiking. I don't worry that the fiber will get damaged or lost.

I'll be putting a set on my Sig when I have the spare cash, that's how much I like them!

I have to wonder if they work as well as the ones they make for Colt 1911s - Oh, wait, I forgot, they don't make those and claim they never did. Of course they are right, they never made them, but that didn't stop them from advertising them. Look for TG131CT

I just sent my gun in for some work and they are putting a set of these on. They told me they now have a amber front site and green in the back.

Whoa........whadaya mean, keep the chemicals off them?? I exclusively use Break Free CLP. I have heard and read stories where products like Break Free Powder Blast will damage polymers, but not CLP. Will the CLP do damage too??
