I'm thinking of selling my XD.40 and carrying the .45. I was unsure of what to ask for it. It has almost 10,000rds fired, has almost all of the finish worn off. It would of course be sold with all the paper work 4 12rd mags the Mepro night sights and the dons guide rod installed and the original assembly would be included as well.

So what do you think I could get for it? Would $300 be reasonable?

Sounds about right to me if it shoots OK.

$300 seems fair for a gun that is reliable, and functional.

if a buyer wanted to they could refinish the slide any color they want and have an awesome piece for pretty cheap.

I would think that 300 is more than fair. When you figure the upgrades you've done, that should offset the round count and finish. $360.00 for an XD with a brand new finish, extra mag, and night sights sounds great to me.
