I have 3 - 10 round and a 13 round magazine with my 45 compact. I shoot at the range about once a month. The other times I keep my gun loaded with one in the chamber, and the other 3 magazines loaded with ammo. I was wondering if keeping my mags always loaded can wear down the spring inside or effect the life of the magazine? Also can keeping my gun loaded and ready to fire wear down any of the components inside the gun?

Keeping mags loaded will not wear the spring out (at least none you'll ever notice).

Only repeated compression and extension will cause wear, and that will take quite some time
