We need to have a forum rule that forbids people from posting topics with "XD" and "Glock" both in the subject line. And we need this rule to be listed in big, red letters at the top of EVERY page in the forum.

"Please direct all Glock-related questions to www.glocktalk.com" or something.

All references to "tenifer" count.

Same with "I heard at a gunshow" questions that could easily be cleared up with a site search here and on Google.

Is it that hard to use Google first?

haha man you guys sure aren't very user friendly... You can find the answer to just about ANY question on google so this would be a boring forum if you couldn't openly ask questions...

Whoever said that is completely ignorant of guns... and probably a Glock lover who enjoys bashing other guns which are superior to his.

From the trigger back, the XD is 100% unlike the Glock. It could be said that from the trigger back, the XD is very similar to the SIG design (except the XD has an added grip safety and it's sear releases a striker as opposed to a hammer). Nobody is filing any lawsuits because the SIG design is also similar to the Beretta 92 fire control system....

I think the person who told you Glock was suing was having you on a bit.

I am officially declaring this kind of miss-info "Glocken-spiel". Stuff so utterly wrong only the dubiously gulible would believe it

Anyone can, the rule would be that you have to take whatever ridicule you get for asking a question that just dropped off onto page two of the forum it's asked in, or for asking a "I heard at the gun show" question that is clearly utter bull.

And here are some smiley faces so everyone knows that I am not a pure a$$hole.

A little correction:

1995 saw the production of the first HS-95 which was a 'older brother' of today's HS/XD:

Although HS-95 has proven to be reliable, it's production costs (parts) were too high and HS Produkt decided to continue working on a new design.
In 1999 a HS-2000 was announced to the public. It's basically the same gun as today, with the exception of early models lacking accessory rails and some of the safety indicators (I believe it was either loaded chamber or firing pin status indicator or both).

The gun that preceded both HS-95 and HS2000 and probably was the pioneer of the whole HS development, was a war-produced PHP (in early 90s) which stands for "Prvi Hrvatski Pistolj" (First Croatian Handgun).

The rest is history...

surely its just one of those BS issues, xd-hs is not made by sprigfield armory but IM Metal of Croatia. SA has the rights to rename it XD for the usa market and the rest of the world as HS2000/HS produck. i think they were talking about the sigma, s&w paid glock a huge amount, tough luck for s&w
