I know what's going to happen. Some knot head in an official position is going to see this as a bayonet lug and have the XD added to the watch list of weapons to eventually ban... I hope more bans don't come around.
Seriously, is there a real use idea behind this threaded guide rod? I know it sure looks pretty... Chris |

Looks cool, but I'll stick with my Don's tungston heavy weight rod(3.25oz).
Having an extra 2 1/2 oz vs the stock 3/4 oz under the barrel is more useful to me than a slot to put accessories or whatever the hole is for.

Imagine a small dime-sized medallion with a threaded stud on the back of it that would screw into this rod. You could have it engraved with your initials or your zodiac sign for that personal touch. Different colors to show what mood you're in....., or put your gun's name on it.
A small mirror attachment for those of us who can't afford a laser. The possibilities are endless. bd |

I thought it was a spot to put your "BLING". A diamond or a ruby would be cool.

It is for all of the above. Preacher had an idea and I said OK.
I'd like a small skull on one. |
