First of all, forget about the stock mag loader.
Buy yourself one of these;
Maglula UPLULA Universal Pistol Magazine Loader
http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpag...670&t=11082005
It will load almost all your mags, for all your pistols.
I think the rest of your problems will go away as the gun breaks in.
Just my .02.............

My XD is pretty tight, but has loosened only slightly after 150 rounds. I've only had time for that much ammo down range. I'm positive it will loosen more once I get back to the range. On the mag note mine has the last little push until the click. I like it that way. I know the mag is in and won't come out.

Take up golf, it helps distract you from the stresses of people using the wrong term, even though everyone knows what they mean, anyway.

(Note: I do NOT play golf.)

I purchased a XD45 Service model, and I don't remember have that many troubles with magazines and working the slide. Sounds as though you may have a problem. How many rounds have you put through the gun?

+1, I never had a problem when mine was new either.

I'd give it at least a few hundred more rounds before sending it to Springfield. Or load/unload your mags a bunch of times while watching TV to break them in faster.

HAHAHA, I play golf occasionally to relieve stress. After playing I usually need to relieve more stress b/c of it. Pretty bad when your stress reliever causes more stress.

Yeah, that's it. Let's argue semantics of language used by a poster calling themselves "XDNewbie" rather than make a meaningful contribution. The rest of us got the meaning of the original post and it was a point well made. Jeezus....

i thought the proper word was Magazine, thats what i was taught to say by the beretta guys, they burn me a bunch of times for saying clips even sent me to a website that taught the difference

as for the gun it wont be going back to springfield anytime soon i'm assuming everything just needs time and some rounds to loosen up if i get to 500 rounds and that mag release is still agravating me i'll give them a call thanks for the tips though
