If your looking for opinions here you will get a lot. Mine is a Comp Tac Pro Undercover. I have one for each gun.

Your best opinion on holsters will be your own. What works for someone else may not work for you.

Check em out here...

Find a store that carries a lot of holsters and go and spend some time trying them all on (or at least the style that you like) and try to narrow it down.

The last thing you want to do is end up with 3-4 holsters before you find the one that you want.

Well, thats usually the way it ends up for most people. You don't get the feel for a holster until you wear it for a few hours.

If your like me, you'll have a couple before you find the one your happy with.

I never found a perfect holster for the service model, but the IWB Comp Tac holster is decent enough.

For my subcompact I use a Fist #1 holster, IWB/leather. I like it alot and think I got lucky on that one. Hope you find the one you like. I hear a lot of good things about "The Answer" by tucker. Its basically a comp tac holster with a leather backing. Comp tac actually made the kydex part of that holster. It comes with a hefty price tag though.

I bought a IWB COM-3 holster from Eric of H. B. E. Specialty Leatherworks at http://www.hbeleatherworks.com/ for my XD-9 Bi-Tone Service. It is an excellent value and is extremely comfortable. I plan to buy another for my 1911.

Thanks for the info, The extreme duty holster that came with the XD just sticks out to far from my waist to use for carrying concealed. I will have to get with my buddy magnumize and go holster huntin. Thanks again everyone for your reply.

The BEST holster is the one YOU will wear/use all the time. Think about the weather in KY, your usual attire (work AND play), threat level in your locations of travel, need/frequency of quick access, need for access while driving (while sitting in your car), etc. It is not until THEN can you decide how you should carry your weapon.

Most importantly, PRACTICE with your weapon so you are absolutely comfortable with its handling.
