OWB Holster?
Can anyone recommend a good OWB holster? I want leather and must be able to accomodate either of my .40's in Service/SC so I am thinking open bottom. I like the looks of the pancake style or possibly something similar. Would like to keep it at or below $50. I spent the good money on my daily carry IWB but want an OWB for occassional carry.
Thanks.

I like the G-code belt holster, at least for range work. I prefer more forward cant for carry, but it may suit you just fine.

I am fond of El Paso Saddlery's #77 Tortilla holster. They are VERY well made and will run you about 55 dollars. Wait time is about 3-5 weeks, but you'll be getting a nice piece that was hand made, when you ordered it, not sitting in plastic and mass made.
I have two #77s, one for my 1911s and one for my Hi-Power and I love them. I currently have a kydex for my XD-40, but am going to order two #77s; once for the Xd and once for my Sig 220 real soon. Check out El Paso Saddelry...these guys make fantastic leather goods and have done so for over 100 years and know what good gunleather is supposed to be like! -Brickboy240

hmmmm....leather, pancake, OWB, and less than $50...that would have to be a Don Hume "Open Top" (aka #721):
http://www.pistol-gear.com/products.php?cat=21 http://www.xd-hs2000.com/holsters.html I have one and like it alot. It's not overly fancy but what can you expect for the money? |
