Thumbs up Getting an XD9

I found what I believe is a really great gun.

I was looking through the display cases at the gunshop this afternoon and found a XD 9mm 4" with Heinie straight eight night sights for $519. It was purchased by the gunshop during 2004, but I don't care, it's still new.

I put it on lay-away and can't wait to pick it up in about 3 weeks. This will be my first XD.

Now I just need to buy as many mags as I can get!

They also had XD .45ACPs which might be next on the list.

I go pick up my XD9 service tomorrow. My dad did the background check on Saturday (he's gifting it to me). The last four days have been pure hell...

I already went to the store tonight and picked up 200 rounds for myself and 100 for a friend to shoot through his dad's Beretta 92F. The trip to the range tomorrow should be awesome.

I started with an XD45 Service then picked up the XD9 Tactical. I'm very fond of both of them.

I'm planning on buying nothing but 9mm FMJ with my Christmas gift cards to Wal-Mart. Best thing I can get from there that I need right now, I think. Right now I'm trying to find the XD mag kits in stock somewhere.

$519 for a used XD? Where do you live? Prices are pretty steep.
