Springer Precision....AWESOME!!!
Sent my XD9 5" (I refuse to call it "tactical") to Springer Precision.
As I had heard, he REALLY turns stuff around fast. 5 days from my door to his door, and back to my door. Incredible. I got him to do the trigger and add some decent sights. Got the Dawson fixed sights, with fiber optic front. The trigger now consistentnly breaks, where before sometimes I'd either jump on the trigger, or anticipate the gun firing before it fired. The fiber optic front sight makes a HUGE difference. This weekend I had some of the best range practice I've ever had - nice consistent, well grouped hits, where if I did my part, the shots groups VERY nicely (often 1" separation between double tap pairs, at 10 yards.) I might come to like handguns after all. If yer thinking about getting someone to work your XD, I'd recommend Springer. (Side note: after about 200 rounds, the gun started short stroking, failing to eject, stove piping, and not holding open on the empty mag. Soooo..... I cleaned the gun, and it was fine. |

$400 is just for the work that springer did and the parts right? Thats not including shipping...or is it????
I really want to have this done to my XD, but I want to wait to see if Im getting a SC for carrying....because if I end up carrying my service, I dont awnt to mod the trigger...or anything else really. J. |
