I just moved to the Alexandria, Louisiana area about a mouth ago and was wondering if anyone knows a good place to shoot around here? I am finding good ranges are lacking here

There are plenty in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge areas. www.packing.org listed a few in the nortrh, monroe, Natchitoches, but that is still a big drive.

oh and sorry not trying to steal your post, i don't know of any in the alexandria area, that place is kinda in the middle of nowhere in the middle of louisiana

Basically, just any place two or more miles out of town. If you head toward leesville, stay out of the swamp.

Just kidding.

How about the Ft Polk range your side of Leeasille? I don't know if it is open to the public, but I will be there in Aug.

I've heard that there is a WMA range near Krotz Springs, but I'm not quite sure where it is exactly. When I was at Ft Polk years ago, we always just ran off the main roads into the woods a ways. May not have been a really wise idea, looking back at it now.
Come to South LA and I'll take you to a few. Any of you others go out to Honey Island or Tallow Creek to shoot?
