First time with an XD

First i want to say that my first XD experience was hindered by the fact that it was a range rental. Anyways it was fun, the sights were worn out so it was harder to aim. Besides that the XD performed great. I had a the XD40 service model with a 10 mag only. I had a blast, didnt have failures when i tried to make it mess up. i shot with a stupid gangsta grip, no problem, i tried to shoot without depressing the grip saftey, it did nothing, (likewise) it worked well. i only had one FTE and i blame me not the gun. I tried to rapid fire shoot the XD and it has more recoil than my berettas so it kinda went wild in my hand and i may have engaged the slide lock or taken my hand off the grip saftey! Besides tat everything was find the XD9 is definatley next on my short list

Sounds like you had a fun time at the range. They are great pistols.

It's always nice to find the one you really like...go get it and shoot the crap out of it.
