XD-9 4" Barrel options

I have noticed what looks to be a bit of rust forming on the inside of my barrel. Does anyone make an aftermarket upgrade barrel I can use. Also my XD is ported, can I use a non-ported barrel instead. Also the finish on my slide is starting to wear off. Im going to send it off to get refinished but I would like to buy an extra slide and send it off so I dont have to be without my gun for a few weeks. Anyone have one for sale?

its most likely copper it does look a lot like rust
if you have any pics that would help. if you shoot and clean your gun on a regular basis then you shouldnt have any rust in your barrel

Agreed, most likely copper fouling. There are several aftermarket barrels available for the XD. I have a Bar-Sto in mine and would recommend it. You can put a non-ported barrel in your ported XD and it should run just fine.

That makes since. I was wondering how it could be rust when it stays well oiled. Thanks for the info!
