Wait, are you suggesting that the gun is getting warm enough to throw off its accuracy? Maybe you're breathing in the fumes from the polymer frame?

Seriously though. Wouldn't things have to get pretty damn hot to even begin to effect the trajectory of a round shot through it? Not to mention that I would think if someones gun is getting hot enough to make it inaccurate that it is not a temporary thing. IOW, the gun or barrel would be FUBAR.

i've never experienced this with a handgun, but my AK does it all the time. when my barrel's cold, i get good groups. after the first few strings, they open up wide

is it just your point of impact that's changing? or does overall accuracy suffer?

Probably not the gun...

I noticed you have this in another thread as well. The other guy's response was probably right on. My wife and I started out doing the same thing, but after working with the rangemaster, we realized it has to do with anticipation. If you start shooting low, take a few moments to dry fire and check out what you're doing. Relax and then try again without moving. It's worked well for us...

NO

Im shooting groups well (2-3'') but after my barrel warms up it drops. my sights are on the same spot every time. my barrel is HOT when you touch it and that is when it starts to drop.

I would suggest having someone else who has alot of pistol experience shoot it after it "heats up" and see what happens with them. I just dont see it getting hot enough to throw the accuracy off that much and still work.

+1. I have shot my XD40 to where I could not touch the barrel and accuracy never diminished.
