help on selling XD
I am selling a XD45 Service NIB on Craigslist for $450 and a guy wrote me from the UK saying he would pay $550 in the form of a travlers check. And after I recieve payment he would have a "client" pick it up. Now in Kansas there is no law on who you can sell to here...as long as I don't willing know he is a fellon? what is the law on this anyone???

I think that will qualify as a "straw purchase" and everyone involved would be in trouble. Sell it to a U.S. citizen there are plenty wanting an XD 45 ( unless it's a GAP lol )

Sounds like a scam to me. Besides Hand Gun ownership
in the UK is forbidden by the masses.

More than likely the check is a fake, you'll lose the money and the gun if you go thru with it.

besides being illegal to sell firearms internationally...that is a known craigslist scam. not only is he a fraud but now that you have corresponded with him via email im sure youl get some junk.

every time i have sold a gun in a classifides online i have gotten a response offering to buy a gun for a "client" and even if it were legal for me to ship the gun directly to their client i wouldnt do it. i wouldnt feel comfortable selling a gun to someone i never got to meet. you can learn alot by meeting a person aand asking a few questions. when i meet a personto sell a gun i usually say "ok well lets go to (a gun store with a FFL) and get a backround check. i have sold 3 guns and two of the people said ok right away and the third person starting acting weird and pretended that he had to leave and said "well if you want to sell it i can give you the money but i dont have time to go get the backround check" and i said we could do it whenever was good for him and he said "well either you sell it to me now or never" so needless to say i didnt sell it to him. now i have never acctually done the backround check i jhust use that as a way to test them a little
