my slide isn't locking back...

at the end of a mag, after the last round fires, the slide has not been locking back. Not a really serious prob, but what might be causing this? Is it even worth sending in to SA?

Occasionally there is the: your-thumb-is-in-the-way problem, but I am guessing you have ruled that out.

I did have this problem for one range session, it turned out that I had over-oiled the gun and the slide was skipping over the slide lock.

no, not the thumb.....but I just thought of this: I wonder what would happen if I tried racking the slide a few times with an empy mag in there, maybe I could see what isn't catching where.

ya you could try that and see if it does lock back and if it does then your more than likely hitting the slide lock with your thumb. I used to do it when I first got the gun without noticing.

I was about to say the same thing. Could be a weak mag spring not pushing the follower up enough to engage the slide stop or just a worn follower. I would definately try a couple different mags if you have not already.
