3rd XD

Well, I'm picking up my third XD tomorrow. After a year+ with my XD9 Service and XD45 Tactical, I've finally decided these pistols are most certainly reliable and practical enough to replace my S&W J-frame 357 snubbie for carrying. My new one is an XD9SC. Can't wait to get it to the range and break it in! I'm thinking of ordering a K&D Dakota Defender to carry it in...

I'd rather have my XD and not need it, then need it and not have it....

I carry a XD40sc or a S&W snubby depending on the weather and type of cloths i'm wearing. I like them both!

Straight-Shooter: Which holster are you using for the XD?

I use the crossbreed supertuck for the xd-40sc. Very comfortable to wear in all situations.

Well, I put 200 rounds through the new XD9SC today. Mostly 124gr WWB, but some Hornady HP/XTP (for carry) and about 50 reloads with 124gr Speer Gold Dots and True Blue powder. It handled everything well with no misfires. At 7 yards, it's blowing out the 8-ring to the right and just below the bullseye.

Don't know if it was my fault, but I don't think so. I'll shoot a couple hundred more in a few days and see.

Anyway, I'm quite happy with the pistol's action. The recoil feels the same as my XD9 Service. This is going to be a great carry gun!

I've got the same 3 XDs but my 9's are in Bi-tone.

Hey Mike. I'm in Randolph County. Born and raised over in Keyser many years ago...
