I took my brand new XD9 service out a few weeks ago and was doing the same thing.
I put about 200 rounds through her.
Low and to the right, very consistently.
I'm right handed.

Also had my XD9sc, it was new too, and shot a bit low, but centered.
I haven't been back to the range yet.

If you figure out why the low and to the right, please let me know.
I know it is something I'm doing wrong.
I'm either flinching, improper grip, or improper trigger pull.
I'm also out of practice, haven't shot in over a year.

I've got the service and the sc but I'm wanting to sell/trade the service for a XD45 compact.
I thought I'd like have the same caliber but it was kinda boring at the range.
Like shooting the same pistol.......

Maybe you're tightening your grip when pulling the trigger?
That's not uncommon.
