XD gear.. how satisfied are you with it?

I can't complain about the free stuff. I use the mag loader and holster when I'm at the range, and have a seperate IWB holster for carry. I like getting free stuff.

I think what he meant was no one here has really called it straight up garbage, meaning your opinion was the minority. Its decent... deffinitely not garbage though IMO.

yeah i think i know this guy from another board

he is one of those guys that if you say garbage enough, he actually believes it. you know one of those guys that believes his own press clippings.

XD gear may not be the greatest, but for me it is good enough. i used it in a pistol class just recently and it works for me. i really have no need for any thing better.

+1 on the loader.

I tried the holster when I first got it and didn't care for it.
I don't usually carry spare mags.

I bought an XD paddle holster on Ebay and resold it a week later.
It was like wearing a brick on my hip.
I mostly wear IWB.
Crossbreed supertuck, but I'm thinking about trying a High Noon holster.

I see lots of XD gear on ebay but I'll keep mine in case I trade or sell the gun.

I don't carry my XD (maybe later), so the holster and magazine holders aren't worth much to me. The magazine loader is nice though. It is better than nothing, and I won't complain for things they want to give me, as long as the price of the gun itself stays fair. Which it is.

Even if gun did not come with the XD gear you probably got to figure price of the gun would still stay the same. From what I see, even with the XD gear, the XD is still one of the lowest priced guns you can get.

I am thinking Springfield probably got each XD Gear kit for about $5 their cost. So you got to figure that's not much to help you sell a gun. Regardless if it is "garbage" it is still good enough for me.

The holster is crap.

I use the mag holders for training classes because some classes ask you have FIVE mags on you and the 9mm and .40 mag holders are the same.

For CCW I use a single mag holder from Comptac.
My holster is a paddle slide from Comptac.

After a bunch of classes where I'm drawing from the holster many times, there is some finish wear on the gun due to the Comptac holster equal to a single use of the free holster.

It's free and worth every penny.

Belt holster is a waste of time certainly. Paddle SA sent me for free as I'm a lefty isn't that bad for the range and that kind of thing. Not for carry though I'd say as it holds the weapon too far away from the body and the arrangement of the clip that helps it hold it to your belt is a little screwy. Mag holder- same thing- good for the range but you won't see me with that massive Buck Rogers looking thing on any other time. Mag loader is fine and works well. As someone said above it's worth what you paid for it.

We could open a thread comparing it to the carry stuff that HK, Glock, Walther, Steyr, and all the other plastic gun guys give to their buyers...
