Boeshield for rust prevention?
This product Boeshield was mentioned on anther thread about polishing XD slides.

It seems to work good, I know some folks that swear by it that like in very humid areas. I use it on my reloading press.

Another good product is Eezox. Boeshield I think is basically parrafin wax in a solvent carrier. If used too thick, may cause a film (which would be OK for storage. I use Boeshield on my cast iron table saw top. Works great even in FLorida weather! Here's a test of Eezox (stuff smells like skunk piss though, not that I've ever smelled that!)
