Do all XD 9sc have melonite finish?

I had an XD-40 service, that I traded off(too bulky for carry)

I am now looking at trading off a S&W 637 for a XD-9sc.

The only stipulation I have is if it is not melonite finish I don't want it.

Any help would be Great!. thanks

I believe the test fire date needed be april 2006 or more recent. You can always email your serial # to springfield and they will confirm it.

My XD40sc doesn't have it but it's not like it's falling apart from rust. I carry it almost every day too. I wouldn't make the finish a deal breaker.

+1. Guns were carried for years without it, and with proper maintenance, no rust.
