Two Tone or Black

How well does the Two Tone hold up compared to the Black? I found a dealer who has a 9mm Sub Compact in Black and Two Tone, but does not have the Trijicon sights I wanted. The guns are $20.00 difference.

The stainless slide will make cleaning it less cumbersome, but I'm not sure one will hold up any longer or better than the other.

I will be using it for both CC and range time. The downside is the Two Tone is almost $600.00 in the great state of MD.

Yeah...they're about $550 here before tax. I think I paid $499 for my blued SC40. They were an extremely hot item a year ago and very hard to find on the shelf.
I just picked up a slightly used one today for $350...from another XDT member here locally.

My first pistol was the stainless XD9. I bought it because I thought it would hold up to more abuse than the black. I was wrong. The stainless is sharp looking but can be marred as easily as the black, in my experience.

I would save yourself some money and get the black model for practice and CC. I think black is best for CC because it is no-frills. Ok, that's not much of a reason.

But you could put the money you saved towards a set of night sights.

What's the difference? I know the SS slide is a little heavier but as far as shooting I'm not sure there's any difference, unless you like the color difference.
I will say that having a different color would have helped me a lot. At least I wouldn't have shot my 9mm in the .40 and .40 in the GAP.
