Which aftermarket match barrels for the XD?

What are some of the best drop-in, aftermarket barrels that would improve your accuracy in an XD, but that do not require any special fitting by a gunsmith? Is there such a thing that's really worth the money, and makes a meaningful impact on your accuracy?

On the other hand, if you are willing to have a gunsmith-fitted match barrel, are any of the aftermarkets out there besides Bar-sto worth trying? What kinds of improvements can you get in your 25-yard groups, by using a fitted match barrel versus a factory barrel?

I'd spend my money on ammo and practice more to improve accuracy
No offense but the XD isn't meant to be a 25 yard target pistol.

I had a Bar-Sto match barrel fitted to my XD9 by Springer Precision and I can definitely see an improvement in group size.

EFK Firedragon barrels work well and are drop-in. Check their site and you can e-mail or call to see if the have what you want in stock.

I bought the Pistol Gear drop-in for my 9mm Tactical two weeks ago and it shoots tighter than the stock. I haven't compared it to my stock barrel but I can see the difference and it's going to be nice for competition. It isn't going to replace practice but it isn't going hurt to have it either....Plus Pistol Gear is great to deal with!!
