Replaced my roll pin... and gun doesn't work?

So after pounding in one of the roll pins that Don was kind enough to send me, I got to the range yesterday and CLICK... no bang. It seems like the firing pin isn't hitting the primer at all. My slide also feels a little sticky when closing, like it's running into some resistance from the striker maybe... any ideas? I am thinking about just punching this pin out and sending the slide to SA and being done with it...

Here's a picture of the new pin (which I didn't quite get flush because I didn't want to damage the slide): http://bayimg.com/AaGLiaaBp
I can take more pics from any other angles if it'll help -- just let me know

that is not right at all, it looks like you flattened the pin out. I think you need to find the link to the instructions and disassemble your slide and try to put everything back together.

take the slide off and depress the drop safty and push the firing pin forward and see if it comes out the face of the slide were the bullet sits

You need to wedge something underneath to keep the firing pin back.

I just chopped a toothpick and wedged it in while I pounded the new roll pin in.

When the firing pin is back you should be able to see through the hole with no obstructions.

Don't give up.

Try again

Roger is right.

When the pin is removed the firing pin goes way forward and protrudes through the hole pretty far.

Did you use the right size roll pin?

They should be 3x16mm roll pins, and I would strongly recommend using a roll pin punch since this won't mushroom the roll pin and will allow you to drive the pin in an out without causing much damage to the roll pin.

I'm sure don sent you the right ones then. I wasn't sure if you had picked it up yourself.

Looks like you hammered the pin in up against the striker. You need to insert the pin in the striker where the channel is.
Take the pin out don't try to hammer it out the bottom of the slide because more than likely you will be hammering on the striker. Try pulling it out the top. Once it's out make sure you can see daylight though the hole before trying to put a new one back in. You'll have to push the firing pin back at the breach face to where it's even with the breach. You can also hold back the striker where it engages the sear. Hold it back enough so that the striker's channel is aligned with the hole.
