Ooooooh BABY!!!
Well, based on the recommendations here, as well as some of my own research, I decided to purchase a XD9sc today. It's the one with the stainless slide. I went directly to the range and fired 150 rounds through it. I already had a XD9 Service, so I was familiar with the format and operation, but had never shot the sc. WHAT A SHOOTER!!!!
I shot slow fire for two mags, then rapid fire for two mags, then slow, then rapid, etc. for 150 rounds. Not one glitch or issue whatsoever! And, it shoots ALMOST as good as the Service model. Now I just need to buy an extra 10 round mag and some Pearce extensions. Can anyone recommend a place to buy these? Along with the purchase, I bought a XD paddle holster. Mistake! It's not even as nice as the fobus I had for my PT145. A couple of months ago I ordered a K&D holsters IWB holster for it (knowing I would be purchasing soon), and it should be ready in about another month. Until then, can anyone recommend a cheap, but functional IWB for the XD compact, that someone would already have in stock? Todd Last edited by BoneDigger; 09-14-2007 at 02:01 PM. MAGAZINES:
![]() ![]() CLIPS: ![]() ![]() The SC is VERY NICE. My dad bought one when I got my Service model. After shooting both I was regretting not buying the SC instead of the Service model. Though after having the service model for a while and CCing it for a while I can live with it. One day though I WILL have a SC model to go with my Service model.

I like to shop at PistolGear (forum sponser) for a few reasons, but the most important is the excellent service.

Welcome to the SC club!
I agree it's a shooter for sure. I'm almost as accurate with it as my XD45 Service at 15 and 25 yards but I have to admit that I like how the Service balances in my hand more. I ran 250 rounds through both XD's a few days ago. I have Pearce grip extensions on two 10rd mags for the SC and two of the stock SA 16rd mags. Certainly the long grip is better for target shooting on the SC but I didn't notice any ill effects on my accuracy with the short grip and Pearce Extensions. I do agree you should get the extensions. The only thing I have to watch for with the short grip on the SC is my right hand thumb can interfere with the slide lock sometimes so I've been practicing with a grip where I keep my right hand thumb free from the gun altogether.

+1 on PistolGear for OEM magazines. I have 3 short mags for my subcompact and they all have a Pearce Grip Extension (PGE). I took a Dremel tool to the PGE and trimmed it down a bit. I only needed half of what the PGE adds.
