Dang,

Now I know how all of you wait state/city folk feel. I've been waiting 5 days.... ok, to be honest, 2 since I sent the balance of money and ffl stuff went tuesday, AND I'M GOING NUTS! I've done transfers several times and this is the first one that ever got me crazy. I know what it is too. It's that bond you develop w/ your gun when you hold it in your hand, look it over, squeeze the trigger a few times, look at the serial number to see if it has any significance to your life, and finally decide it's worth putting off the oil change this month, or that the baby doesn't REALLY need another box of diapers, just get the wife to wash a few, or that the money you've been saving for THAT gun is really meant for THIS gun. I know, "shaddap'n'wait ya whiner" but it's driving me insane. All the other transfers have been done on basis of pictures, and no matter how detailed, there is still that distance. I want my little one home now... <sniff>

OK, enough whining, but for those that don't know by now, I am waiting on one of Rich's production special XD9 tacticals.

i ordered mine some time back and am waiting for the 10 day period to end next tuesday stupid background check.. i'm not even old enough to have done serious time

Never heard of Rich's production special XD9 tacticals. Unless you are buying a used gun from a person named Rich. IF it's a new gun... do you have a link so folks can lean more. Thanks in advance.

Is the light just funny in that pic, or is that a custom finish ala Kimber Eclipse? Looks sweet (silver w/black inlays).

yes, similair to the Kimber.

I have been thinking about doing this to the Tactical I already have for a few months, but when I saw it w/ the gloss black finish, it was just soooo right.

Can I be nosy and ask what the cost is for the special guns?

I'm not really interested in the custom finish as much as the trigger job and Bomar sights.

I was planning on buying a XD9 tactical and sending it to Rich but I still haven't sent him my XD40 tactical yet so it might just be easier to buy it ready made from him.
