So I took my wife to Bass Pro to pick up some ammo for me and some fishing stuff for her. Yes she likes to fish. While we where there I had the guy behind the gun counter pull a XD 9 and a XD 45 for her to put her hands on. She liked the feel of both of them better than my Sigs. She liked the XD9 a little better for her little hands but she said the XD 45 would be fine too as it feel smaller than my other pistols anyway. Well my XD 45 compact is still on order so I wanted to have another pistol with the same MOA as my future carry gun at the house. So I purchased 9mm,40cal, and 45 ammo. She saw the price difference. So now she is contemplating me getting a XD 9 or 40 for IDPA and just leaving her the XD 45c while I'm out using the XD9/40 for games. I think I'm hearing another XD being purchased in the very near future.
I'm a bad bad man....... So far this evil scheme has only cost me 3 ugly stick fishing rods and a new tackle box full of stuff for "her". But I did have a say as to which rods and what went in the box, but only a little bit. |

My wife has a Service .45(range and home) and I have a compact .45(cch). We haven't shot any other XD's, but my wife hates Blocks!

Very nice, guys.
I wish I could find a lady who likes guns as much as me.

My girlfriend has quite a lust for guns as well.. So it makes for a great relationship.
She doesn't have an XD but she has a 92fs that she carries. Why? "It feels good in her hands" She is an advocate for 9mm mainly because of the capacity and to her my .45 kicks to much. She is looking for a smaller 9mm/.380/.32 to carry I was thinking along the lines of a bersa single stack 9mm or try to convince her to get a XD9sc

i got my GF a xd9 service and she LOVES it she also loves my xd45 service a ton but she isnt a big fan of the 40 if your gf doesnt like the 45 because of recoil then i would stay away from the 40 the recoil to me is the same as the 45 or really close. i went through the same problem when i was getting her a xd and the people at the gun store recomended the 9 even though it costs less and they had a 40 in stock but had to order the 9 so i know they wernt just trying to sell me the gun they wanted to get rid of
