hs2000 40 tactical recoil spring question

hi to all,
i just got my hs40 tactical a few days ago and test fired it at our local range here in sta rosa, laguna yesterday. the verdict, IT ROCKS!!!!!!!
i can,t wait to use it in our local competition.
nowcomes the big question to all hs/xd 40 tactical owners, ever noticed the recoil spring has the same size and diameter as a 1911. the poundage has to be the same ofcourse, has anyone tried using one?
i really like to know since parts for the tactical is rare and very hard to comeby here in my country. will appretiate a lot for the info

Yep you can use a full size 1911 spring. I run a 16lb 1911 sping in my Tacs.

replacement 1911 spring for hs40 tactical etc.

hi there to all,
thanks for the reply regarding the use of the 1911 spring. at least now i'll be able to buy a wolff recoil spring here without worrying not having parts for my hs40 tactical.
also yesterday, during my range session, i used my two remaining 15 rds magazine from my 1st generation HS2000 9mm which i sold a few years back and load it with 40 cal. reload lead ammo, my evaluation, 100% RELIABLE, the only concern was, it only held 11 rds unlike the original mag of 12.

I believe the Tactical 45ACP guide rod is a larger diameter. Check out Pistol Gear. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
