Ive seen a few posts where people have bought XDs and then found out they had purchased a gun that had sat on a shelf for a couple years. How do I find out the build date on my XD?
Thanks in advance!

I hope people will post some serial number formulas, but a call to Springfield will solve the problem.

You can check the spent shell casing that comes with your weapon, and/or you can call springfield and give them your serial #.
