is the Xd holster good enough for IDPA?

I want to get started in IDPA. My XD came with the holster and mag carrier. Is this good enough for IDPA? I really don't want to invest too much until I am sure I like it.

It will do well enough until you find out if you like the sport.

I concur wholeheartedly. Don't piss a bunch of money away on the latest tacticool gear until you know how much you like it.

I recently upgraded to a Comp-Tac holster after admitting to myself that I was addicted to IDPA but I still use the mag carrier. It's plenty good to use for a while.

I used my XD Gear for over a year in IDPA competition before upgrading to Blade-Tech. Your stock holster and mag carrier will be just fine.
