Finally!
First of all I'd like to say, great board, been lurking on and off since I first ordered my OD XD-40 Tactical.
I waited forever to get my XD, after being jerked around quite a bit for a several months by what I thought was a reputable dealer who kept telling me the XD was very hard to get because they were back ordered from the factory. Well after finally running out of patience I went to a different dealer who got me what I wanted within' a week DOH! Of course being in California I still had my 10 waiting period but hey what's 10 days after several months Once I picked up my XD I promptly came down with Toncilitis which put me three weeks further away from shooting my XD....yep I have apparently angered the Gods! OK, finally recover and make it to the range, mind you I have read the posts about folks having problems with the XD-40 hanging up so I am a bit nervous to shoot it for the first time. I'm happy to report it performed flawlessly, I put 250 rounds of 165 grain CCI Blazer ammo through it without so much as a hiccup, Lets just say I've got a big grin on my face now Jeff G Fresno, CA

You made a wise choice in buying an XD.
Welcome to the forum.

I have to agree with your assessment. I've had my XD40 Service for a month now with 500 rds of WWB 180gr through it. Not a single malfunction. Ever. As of right now, I trust mine and my family's life with this pistol. In fact, I'll be shopping around for XD #2 today!

My guess would be that the guy who jerked you around is the little shop on Blackstone. That guy has lost two sales from me due to his bat attitude.
JACKASS! As you can tell I am in Fresno also. Finally another person on the Forum from Fresno. When we going shooting?

My .40 is over 2 years old and I've NEVER, EVER had a malfunction with it.
