On Thursday....

i'm going out for a day of LEO pistol training, this should be some good stuff. i've had 15 years of military training with all sorts of weapons, but no LEO training. one of the guys i ride with here is the chief fire arms instructor for a nearby PD, and he has offered to open his range and provide targets and a day of training for yours truly. i'm totally stoked... !! i'll be sure to bring the camera to record the results good or bad....oh and unlike a friend of mine i'll remember the bullets....just bought 3 100rnd boxed of the WWB at wally world before the dreaded 15-30% price jump that happened on the first.

I may get the opportunity to go to the range with the local police this weel as well. I do not think I will be aloud to shoot however. I am taking my weapon, my range box and several boxes of ammo however just in case.

Be careful with what you bring because our local agency's range says to not bring weapons there, even in the vehicle apparently. they have this program called the Citizen Police Academy which i graduated last month from and will be having a Crime Stoppers Shootout next month. They said, do not bring your weapons!

well lets just say that in all my 34 years i've never shot till my hands were sore.....at least untill yesterday. we spent about 6 hours shooting from every concievable position, and as many scenerios as we could possibly come up with. all in total i think the round count was between 250 and 300 ish. lots of "cold" drills, followed by A LOT of "hot" drills. since he has the dreaded black rifle disease, and a fine piece at to boot. i showed him some of the stuff we do at work in regards to CQB. it was a day of learning, shooting and fun for both of us. i didn't bring my camera since i got a late start (thought it was in my range bag), so there aren't any good action shots. but there should be another session here in the comming weeks....this time there will be pics for sure.
