2 XD9's to my name!

Picked up a XD9 Service for myself and a XD9SC for my wife! Got them from 2 different store b/c one had what I wanted and the other had hers... Now we just have to get her hand strong enough to release the slide lock and we're set! I plan for us to put a few through them over the next week sometime.

Mine:
XD9 Service $515.99 less 10%. $496ish OTD W/ 2 free shirts and a BBQ plate. (It was store 'A's 1 yr anniversery)

Hers:
XD9SC $519.99 + 50 rnd of WWB came to about $560 or 570ish.

I will be looking for some decent hollow points for carry and home defence and a place to pick up some bulk target rounds.

**Edit
Here is the link to pics of my guns.
Finally took some pics of my new 9's

Good choices and good prices. But a quick question; Are you having your wife trying to use her thumb to move the slide lock so the slide will close or are you having her (hopefully) grab the top of the slide and pull it back and letting it go?

Is this bad for the gun?

Lots of folks argue that it is not. And it will probably take many thousands of times of doing this before the mating surfaces wear to the point of being a problem from doing so. More than anything, to grab the slide and rack it back uses larger muscles and thus isn't necessarily a motor skill that is easily lost under stress.

There ya go. That compact is pretty sexy! It's pics like this that just confuse the hell out of me. I love the little sub compact. That bi-tone looks sweet too just when I was set on all black. Damn, I may have to buy both.

I have shown her both ways. She has gotten a little bit stronger over the past 2 days. I'll take the potential problem of that contact wearing out into consideration from now on though.

I haven't gotten around to taking some pictures this weekend due to traveling around to family member's places. But, hopefully by this weekend Ill get them taken and pop the cherries on each respectively.
