I remember shortly after I had purchased an inexpensive shoulder holster for wear in the winter under my jacket, I was kneeling down to get something from the bottom shelf in a convenience store, and as I bent over to grab it my XD fell onto the floor!! My jacket was open and the thumb strap had popped open. I landed on the floor between the clerk and I.

I felt like a total doofus! And you should have seen the look on the clerks face. His eyes popped open and when he saw the look on mine he got a good laugh.

I don't use that holster anymore.

You are luck the police didn't get called, But then again not everyone is a gun hatin liberal hack.
The waiter did not make a big deal about it while I was there. Thankfully and did not ask about whether i was carrying or not. the look in his face did tell me enough that he knew i had a magazine, and that i could possibly have a gun but did not take any action to it. there was an owner there who i know and he never came and talked to me about it. good i suppose. i just hated the whole thing happening.

Are you sure that's bad in your state? In Texas, for example, you can carry magazines in the open.

Well look on the bright side it could have been worse you could have lost the magazine all together. Then months later have the police knocking at your door because they located shell casings from that magazine at a crime scene with your finger prints on it.

Take it in stride as a learned lesson.

I was working on the plumbing of a house down in the hood over the winter and was carrying IWB at about 4 oclock.

I heard a thunk on the bare floor and thought somebody was banging on the plywood over the windows to remove them. But then I realized that there was only one thunk, and that came from inside the place.

I looked at the floor and realized that my mag had fallen out. As I grabed it, I had one round strip off, fall to the floor, and go into the floor vent (it didn't have a vent cover), down into the duct work in the crawl. The crawl has only about 16 inches clearance, too little for me to go into, so there the bullet sits today.

I think he handled it in a very professional manner. Most crooks wouldnt go into a nice eatery and sit down with their family for a nice meal. You said you have played there in the past so Im sure that played into it.
