I'm trying out a friends pager pal. Seems a bit uncomfortable unless I move it some for either siting or walking. Bringing the gun out can be a hassle as well. I tend to grab a bunch of T-Shirt (undershirt) when I bring the holster up. It does make you look like you are well endowed or (if you move it over a bit) like you have something in your pocket. Worse when sitting but generally speaking a table will hide the HOLSTER (I get no gun print) print.
I'll be checking into the MTAC from COMP-TAC. I also checked into Tucker gunleather but the wait is 4 months...yes months. I have a service 9mm BTW. Winchester 147 grian hollow points with a 930 FPS muzzle velocity. I, too, am very new to CC...just got my liscense yesterday. |

i have a Comp-tac MTAC for my XD9 Service, and I am buying a SA LW Champion Operator pretty soon. I am going to be doing the same thing. Instead of having to buy a whole new holster for my new 1911, i'm just going to buy the 1911 kydex slide so i can switch it out with the XD kydex slide. go here for some MTAC pics: Modded my MTAC! |

It been months since my original question and I thought I'd do a follow up.
I ended up with three UBG holsters. Two "Canute" IWB, one for my Kahr PM 9 and one for the XD 9. Also a UBG Bonneville, OWB for the 1911. After trying several cheap IWB holsters and one not so cheap C TAC holster, none of which worked even a little for me , I decided to forget the 1911 as a concealed piece. So I ordered the OWB for competition. Lo and behold it conceals far better than the C TAC. I just have to wear a longer shirt but it doesn't hardly bulge at all, so I may yet end up getting another Canute from Nate for the 1911. |

you need to get a holster before you try to figure out which way will work best for you. i used to think that SOB would be the way i would carry. while standing in my bedroom with no holster and jeans on SOB was the only way that i could get the n to disappear... so i figured i was stuck.
then i took a chance and bought an MTAC IWB. My 1911 disappears at 3:30 in that holster. sticking a gun in your jeans with no holster will not give you a good idea of whether you can conceal it a certain way. just my experience...

Springfield IWB for XD
I tried the search function here to see if anybody had reported on this holster. Check the Springfield store and you will see the adjustable holster is the same price as the non-adjustable--$34 + $6.50 shipping. Seems like a terrific price!
Does anybody have this holster and if so, what is your opinion?
