I can't wait.
Congrats on moving forward with your CCW!

So in NV your permit is for specific guns only? Wow.

Here in NC it is good for whatever you feel like carrying. Once you have your permit, holster up with whatever you like whenever you want!

Yes. It's sort of a pain but all they require is a CCW class to add or remove a weapon so unlike you if I want to carry something other than the first 3 weapons I listed on my initial CCW app I have to take that CCW class again with said weapon(s). I would love to have it like you but I doubt I will be adding or removing my choice hanguns too often. Regardless though, it will cost me $75 (to the intructor and $15 to the Sheriff) to add or remove which is an added cost for sure. Sometimes I think this all has to do with a state that doesn't have state income taxes so they ding us in small ways other places. Knowing Nevada I doubt it's about restrictions. I think it's dollars . . .

There is only one guy in town who only charges $75. Ken Walls from Silver State Firearms, God bless him. Every other approved instructor in town (dozens) is $100 to $135.

I LOVE Nevada but they have always been weird and sometimes contradictive in their laws.

We can open carry which is not the best option when you may be accosted by some anti-gun person. And we can carry a loaded and concealed weapon in our cars without a CCW as long as the gun is not concealed on our person, in the glove compartment or a purse.

We have legal brothels but there are some things that are illegal that would surprise you.

All that said though, Nevada is a great state and perhaps contrary to what many think, is pretty progressive. Constitutionally they are pretty sound.
