XD SS Rust concern!!!

I have an XD bi-tone on layaway at a local shop. I read on the malfunctions page that handling before long storage could cause rust. The one that I have on layaway was taken out of the bag and handled by me and put back in the plastic bag and case. Should I be concered about rust while it is in storage at the shop?

Thanks

The bag is an anti rust bag so no problems. Why wont people if they are going to store a pistol in a case just use an antirust product like the bag or VCpi tabs or something. By the way I did not mean you but others

I'm thinking that if you wipe it down with a $4 silicone cloth before storage you'll have zero worries
