The days of finding a XD of any caliber/size for under $500 in Ca. are long gone I believe. The local chain I go to (Turners Outdoorsman) sells the SC9/SC40 for $519, everything else is more.

I believe the only place I can get it cheaper is to go where I bought my SC9 3yrs ago: LAPD store. At the time, it was $100 cheaper than the store price out the door. They are only open to active/retired leo, but it is now a 224 mile round trip since I've moved. Because of the 10 day wait, I'd have to do it twice. With gas prices being what they are, it's not worth it.

I've got a bad feeling that my price here on this god foresaken island is the highest paid. I bought an XD40 Tactical with tax for $617.00 oh yeah then there's the $30.00 state registration crap on top of that.

Sucks being on an island sometimes!!!!

I just purchased a 40 sub compact for $488, before tax, this past Friday from a local gun shop. Two came into the store on Wednesday and I got the last one.

My dad went in today and bought a XD9 SC today for the same price from the same place. Four came into the store on Wednesday and my dad bought the last one today.

About a year ago I purchased an XD9 SC for was must have been around $540 before tax from Academy Sporting Goods.

About 3 months ago I purchased an XDm in 40 but I can't remember what I paid. There was a trade involved so I only laid out about $100/$150.

One local gun shop had the XDsc in 9 and 40 for $609. Someone will buy 'em, I bet.
