I bought mine in mid- February for $520, which included SALES TAX, the FED. LICENSING (paperwork fees), and a new .45 service model in black as packaged by SA.

I bought my 40 service in May, out the door, for $453, and they had the compact there for the exact same price. Now, it really helps when they offer a Military/LEO discount price. Gonna have to go back for the 40 SC before I leave the Army.

$399.00 for a new XD-40 service, 2 - 10 round mags but no holster, mag holster or speed loader. I think it was leftover from before SA started offering the "kit" with a new gun purchase. The same gun in a "kit" was $499.00. I didn't really like the holster anyway. I saved a hundred bucks to put toward the holster I really want.

+1. Mine didnt come with the XD gear but I dont care about that. My friend has an XD with the XD gear and he only uses it do to "obstacle courses" that we set up when we go shooting. Big whoop!
